Research and Project Development Directorate 

Research and Project Development Directorate develops and administers strategic partnerships with external parties in the form of research and other projects and programs. The main goal of the directorate is to expand externally sponsored projects significantly.

Research and Project Development Directorate achieves this goal by
• developing a clear research and development strategy
• building long-term sustainable relations with corporate partners, funding bodies and government departments
• building a smooth interface between external parties and faculty to serve research and development strategy

Research and Project Development Directorate actively pursues collaboration and fund generation opportunities with corporations, national state agencies and European Commission and other international foundations and agencies. Research and Project Development Directorate is the single research collaboration contact for corporatations as well as other funding agency relations nationally and internationally.

Research and Project Development Directorate identifies promising new technologies and innovations, promotes expertise and innovations. Research and Project Development Directorate provides support for academic/business collaborations and administers sponsored research and facilitates the transfer of research into commercial applications.
Research and Project Development Directorate provides full range of central, administration services to faculty & their research programs across the entire life-cycle of the award (pre-award and post-award).

Pre-award services

Grants specialists work closely with faculty members to:
• identify potential funding sources
• review and assist in preparation of proposals
• prepare groundwork for negotiation with sponsors
• seek legal advice for the grant agreements
• identify and resolve issues throughout the life-cycle of the award

Grants financial specialists work with financial comptroller office and faculty members to:
• plan the financial phase of projects with budgetary details

Post-award services

Grants financial specialists work with financial comptroller office and faculty members to:
• ensure accurate accounting of income and expenditures on sponsored projects
• complete and submit financial reporting required by sponsors
• assist with reconciliation
• and closeout
